The Crawfordsville Distribution Center for Penguin Random House is currently seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our growing organization.  

In this role, you will perform a combination of duties to construct, install, troubleshoot, repair, modify, and maintain plant equipment and facilities.  Prior experience working in facility maintenance is essential. 

Proven skills relating to electrical construction with the ability to read schematics, mechanical trades, forklift/conveyor repair experience is a plus.  Prior experience performing duties associated with Siemens or Allen Bradley Programmable Controllers or other relative PLC's is desirable but not required. Additional experience with other crafts such as carpentry, plumbing, painting, masonry and welding will contribute to a well-rounded candidate.

Candidates must have two or more years relevant experience, possess basic PC skills and be physically capable of performing heavy lifting. The starting wage for this position is based on the individual's skill set, typically at the minimum of $27.00 per hour.  We proudly offer our skilled technicians the opportunity to progress within our compensation structure in six-month intervals.  As one's skills, knowledge and abilities increase, so is the opportunity to elevate earnings.  

The regular shift hours for this opportunity are Monday - Friday 3:00pm - 11:00pm.  This shift is also eligible for an additional 12.5% shift differential to further boost your earnings.  The availability of working overtime is essential.
