ASSA ABLOY is seeking a Maintenance Technician for full-time onsite work in Dubai. The role covers preventive, predictive and corrective maintenance of mechanical equipment such as pumps, motors, gearboxes, valves and conveyors; you will diagnose faults, perform alignment, balancing, lubrication and calibration, replace defective components and read engineering drawings while monitoring performance to drive reliability improvements and ensuring safety standards, permit-to-work procedures and HSE compliance. You will maintain CMMS records, support shutdowns and major projects, and coordinate with production and engineering to minimize downtime. Requirements include a Diploma or ITI or Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering and 2-5+ years of relevant experience; safety or rotating equipment certifications are a plus. - Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment.
- Inspect, diagnose, and repair pumps, motors, compressors, gearboxes, valves, conveyors, and rotating equipment.
- Troubleshoot mechanical failures and identify root causes of equipment breakdowns.
- Conduct equipment alignment, balancing, lubrication, and calibration activities.
- Replace defective components and perform overhauls as required.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, technical manuals, and equipment specifications.
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to enhance reliability and efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards, permit-to-work systems, and company HSE procedures.
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, work orders, and inspection reports using CMMS systems.
- Support shutdowns, turnarounds, and maintenance projects.
- Coordinate with production, engineering, and maintenance teams to minimize downtime.
- Perform routine inspections to identify potential issues before equipment failure occurs.
- Ensure proper housekeeping and maintenance of tools and workshop equipment.
- Diploma/ITI/Technical Certificate in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- 2–5+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing or industrial environments.
- Relevant certifications in safety, maintenance, or rotating equipment are advantageous.
