You will perform preventative, predictive and corrective maintenance on mail processing equipment, diagnose complex faults, and keep accurate SAP records, with PLC and VFD automation systems featuring prominently. A current Queensland Electrical Licence is required, and the ability to work independently and with operations teams is essential. The role offers comprehensive training, a starting salary of around 82,575 with overtime potential to exceed 110,000, five weeks of leave, and a rotating 12 hour roster. About the opportunity
As our Maintenance Technician you’ll be directly reporting into the Technical Manager & Leads. You’ll be responsible for conducting maintenance activities associated with the Mail Processing Equipment, such as corrective, predictive and preventative maintenance, as well as improving reliability. You may also be required to use SAP, to process stock orders and ensure all plant and material maintenance transactions are accurately recorded.
About the facility
As part of the Queensland Technical Services team, you’ll play a key role in maintaining mail processing equipment across our parcel facility at Brisbane Airport. The state-of-the-art facility is integral to the smooth operation of Australia Post and Startrack through the country.
The type of machinery you can expect to be working on at this facility is automation systems and conveyers controlled by PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) & VFD (Variable Frequency Drive). Including Network communications and digital address recognition computer systems, and other modern technology.
