EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW

 

As our Maintenance Technician, you will carry out both planned and reactive maintenance across a broad range of electrical and mechanical assets. You’ll use your diagnostic and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve faults, supported by a good grounding in basic electrical work and fault finding.

 

You’ll operate across multiple sites within your area, with a company vehicle, laptop and appropriate safety clothing provided. This is a great opportunity to join a forward-thinking team, working on a diverse range of equipment and contributing to the ongoing performance of critical assets.

 

This role dictates that you start from home and work across your allocated region so a full UK driving licence is essential.

 

Some of your key accountabilities include:-

 

  •  Minimise the number of non-operational assets
  • Participate in a standby rota to respond to out of hours maintenance requests
  • Comply with Statutory and Company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the Health and Safety of yourself, colleagues, visitors and members of the public.
  • Maintain effective communication with colleagues and other departments.
  • Approach customers in a friendly, helpful manner.
  • Travel to different sites as required.
  • Assist in training others.
  • Diagnose, repair and produce a report on faulty equipment

 

WHAT YOU’LL BRING TO THE ROLE

 

In order to be successful in this role, you will have a solid background in general mechanical maintenance, with electrical maintenance skills being highly desirable. You’ll also be confident using a range of IT systems to support your work.

 

Experience within the utilities sector or a production/process environment would be advantageous and will help you quickly add value within the team.
