We are looking for friendly, practical, non-clinical people to join our Major Incident Support Team in Rotorua. As a MIST member, you will assist our ambulance crews and communities in a variety of ways depending on the situation. You might be helping to lift a patient, setting up at a music festival or providing support during anything from a local emergency to a national disaster. Whether it’s a planned event or an unexpected crisis, you will be part of the essential support crew working behind the scenes to keep ambulance operations running smoothly and making a real difference in your community.
Responsibilities – As a MIST member your key tasks may include, but are not limited to:
Training – All new MIST members complete an initial foundation course, which includes an induction to HHSJ, operational risk management principles and driving training. This ensures you are well-prepared to operate vehicles and equipment confidently and safely in emergency environments.
