Job Description

KordaMentha is seeking a Manager – Data Analytics and AI to join our Technology & Data team.

This is an opportunity for a commercially minded data, analytics and AI professional who enjoys solving ambiguous business problems, working directly with stakeholders, and shaping practical technology-enabled solutions from problem definition through to delivery.

In this role, you will work across client engagements to design, shape and oversee data, analytics and AI solutions that are robust, well governed and fit for purpose. You will bring a strong business lens, translating commercial and operational problems into pragmatic solutions that create meaningful impact.

As a Manager, you will play a key role in leading solution design, engaging stakeholders and supporting delivery across priority areas including data and AI strategy, information management frameworks, analytics use cases and AI-enabled solutions.

  • Lead the design and oversight of data, analytics and AI solutions across client engagements, defining the approach, scope and delivery pathway.
  • Translate business problems into data-driven solutions, balancing commercial value, feasibility and risk.
  • Apply capability across the data lifecycle, including data management, analytics, visualisation and applied AI, to generate insight and support decision-making.
  • Elicit, document and prioritise business, data and reporting requirements through workshops, interviews, process analysis and review of existing artefacts.
  • Define decision frameworks, performance measures and acceptance criteria that connect business outcomes to data, analytics and AI delivery.
  • Map current-state processes, pain points and data flows to identify opportunities for process improvement, automation and capability uplift.
  • Advise on data governance, data architecture and target data operating models to support scalable and well-governed solutions.
  • Prepare clear client-facing artefacts including requirements summaries, process maps, user stories, dashboard concepts, operating model inputs and implementation roadmaps.
  • Contribute to methodology, practice development and the technical development of junior team members.

Qualifications

You are a confident problem solver who can operate independently, engage effectively with senior stakeholders and translate complex data concepts into clear, commercial language. You are comfortable working across both business and technical audiences and enjoy helping clients make better decisions through data, analytics and AI.

You will bring:

  • Minimum 4 years’ experience in a business analysis, data, analytics, product or consulting role.
  • Demonstrated experience designing and delivering data, analytics or AI solutions, ideally within consulting or professional services.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Data, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Commerce or a related field.
  • Strong business-centric problem solving, with the ability to frame ambiguous problems and design practical solutions.
  • Broad capability across data, analytics and AI, including data modelling, business intelligence, analytics, applied AI and machine learning.
  • Working awareness of data governance, data architecture and data operating models.
  • Strong requirements elicitation and analysis skills, including workshop facilitation, stakeholder interviews, process mapping and backlog refinement.
  • Practical understanding of data quality, data lineage, data ownership, metadata, reporting controls and responsible use of AI.
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency in data tooling such as SQL, Python and Power BI, as well as Microsoft Office.

Experience with DCAM, CDMP, DAMA-DMBOK, CMMI Data Management Maturity Model or ISO/IEC 38505 Data Governance would be advantageous.
