Arc’teryx is seeking a temporary Manager, Delivery and Transportation for a one-year contract. The role is based at the Arc’One Distribution Centre and supports hybrid work from New Westminster, CA. You’ll act as the bridge between Arc’teryx and Amer Sports Delivery & Transportation, aligning forecasting, capacity, and service planning to hit sales and service targets while leading a team of logistics professionals across regions. This is a great fit if you enjoy shaping how a global transport network operates, collaborating with planning and merchandising partners, and driving improvements in efficiency and cost control.

The team you’ll lead sits within the broader Supply Chain function and works closely with internal and external distribution networks, carriers, and D&T partners around the world. You’ll partner with Global Planning and Regional Merchandise Planning & Allocations to steer the transportation network, balancing growth with service commitments and sustainability goals. If you want to influence how a premium outdoor brand moves product around the world and you thrive in cross-functional collaboration, you could be a strong match.

Steering the transport engine

In this role you’ll guide, mentor, and energize a group of logistics specialists, fostering a high-performance culture through coaching and ongoing development. You’ll develop a deep operating understanding of how upstream and downstream partners work, and you’ll keep a transportation roadmap aligned with growth and service needs across NAM, EMEA, and APAC. Your day-to-day will include reviewing quarterly forecasts at a granular level so DCs and carriers can plan resources, while spotting risks and opportunities that could affect delivery to plan. You’ll support regional teams as they execute transportation programs to meet regional objectives and you’ll steer the prioritization of inbound and outbound volumes to support customer requirements by channel, especially during peak periods and seasonal shifts. You’ll collaborate with Allocations, Ecommerce, Retail Operations, and Global Transportation during peak periods to ensure smooth execution, and you’ll optimize shipping methods to maintain service levels while keeping costs in check. You’ll set and track KPIs to surface performance trends, lead periodic reviews with transportation partners, and ensure SLAs are met. You’ll work with Financial Planning & Analysis to model how different service-level scenarios affect financial results and you’ll keep costs and cost forecasts visible for planning purposes. Finally, you’ll influence process improvements and training at distribution centers and partner ecosystems to meet customer needs efficiently, while engaging upstream and downstream partners on those improvements and supporting emissions-reduction initiatives.

How to stand out for this opportunity

Think about your resume first in terms of the must-haves: lead with eight-plus years in supply chain or logistics and highlight three-plus years in a leadership role, plus your SAP and advanced Excel capabilities. Demonstrate your analytical work by describing specific data projects where you manipulated datasets to forecast and optimize capacity, costs, or service levels.

In interviews, bring concrete examples of guiding regional transportation programs and collaborating across cross-functional teams to hit targets. Have a clear story about a time you balanced service and cost during peak periods and a situation where you influenced process improvements at a distribution center or with partners to deliver better outcomes.

Ask a smart question that shows you’re thinking about regional priorities and network optimization, for example: how does Arc’teryx balance regional service objectives with cost controls across NAM, EMEA, and APAC in the coming year, and what would be the top priority for the D&T function?
