The Position

We are seeking an experienced and competent Manager Finance Operations team with a strong background in managing and mentoring accounting staff. This role demands a financial expert to lead and optimize our financial processes, ensuring compliance with laws and regulations and enhancing operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and mentor accounting operations staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.

  2. Oversee financial processes, including project administration, financial reporting, invoicing, and accounts payable.

  3. Leverage technology and data insights to improve team performance and decision-making.

  4. Ensure financial controls are robust, aligned with organizational objectives, and adhere to Segregation of Duties (SoD) principles.

  5. Provide valuable insights for financial performance improvement and drive process optimization.

Professional Expertise:

  1. Initiate and oversee domain financial processes, ensuring operational control and compliance.

  2. Drive timely reporting through consistent process improvements and controls.

  3. Advise and support staff in addressing risks, compliance issues, and process optimizations.

  4. Foster collaboration across departments to integrate domain policies and enhance financial processes.

  5. Provide guidance and mentorship to both senior stakeholders and operational specialists.

Complexity:

  1. Manage domain-specific challenges, balancing control, compliance, and business needs.

  2. Coordinate across teams with a strong understanding of financial process dependencies.

Influence:

  1. Shape financial operations through expert guidance and effective team leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Experienced people manager in accounting.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.

  • Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively across teams.

  • Fluent in English & Dutch.
