Marriott is seeking a Manager, HR Services for ANZP on a 12-month maternity cover to lead HR operations for ANZP and serve as a trusted advisor to leaders on recruitment, payroll liaison, benefits, associate engagement, ER/IR, compliance and office administration. Lead HR operations and services across Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific (ANZP) to deliver reliable day-to-day HR support for the Above Property team, covering recruitment, payroll liaison, benefits administration, associate engagement, ER/IR, compliance, and office administration. The role acts as a trusted HR advisor to ANZP leaders, providing practical people guidance, workforce insights, process improvement support, and a positive associate experience that is aligned with business priorities, local employment requirements, and company values.
Recruitment & Onboarding:
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for ANZP offices; prepare offers, oversee onboarding, and support leaders.
- Partner with hiring managers to ensure consistent recruitment practices, accurate requisition details, strong candidate communication, and a smooth onboarding experience for new hires.
- Administer payroll for Australia and NZ; manage benefits enrollment; ensure compliance; support annual compensation cycle.
- Coordinate new hire orientation, training programs, and liaise with L&D on nominations.

Drive engagement initiatives, recognition programs, and wellbeing events; handle exit interviews, investigations, and conflict resolution; support Associate Voice process.
- Coach leaders on sensitive associate matters, guide difficult conversations, and support fair and consistent resolution of workplace concerns in consultation with relevant stakeholders.
Strategic HR Business Partnering:
- Act as a trusted HR partner to ANZP leaders, providing guidance on workforce planning, organizational changes, talent risks, succession considerations, and the people implications of business decisions.
HR Analytics, Reporting & Insights:
- Use HR data, reporting, and workforce metrics to identify trends, monitor key people processes, support decision-making, and recommend practical actions to improve the associate and leader experience.
Process Improvement & Standardization:
- Review HR workflows and recurring processes to improve efficiency, reduce manual administration, support system adoption, and promote consistent HR service delivery across ANZP.
Performance, Talent & Workforce Planning:
- Support performance management cycles, performance improvement plans, development planning, talent discussions, and workforce planning activities in partnership with leaders and relevant centers of expertise.
- Maintain compliant associate files, HRIS updates, performance documentation, and privacy compliance; manage visa coordination and HR letters.
- Maintain audit-ready HR records and support data governance, statutory requirements, privacy controls, and consistent application of company policy and local employment legislation.
Workplace Experience & Office Operations:
- Oversee office operations, leases, budgets, vendor contracts, and maintenance; ensure safety compliance; manage renovations and special projects.
- Support a professional and engaging workplace experience through effective vendor management, office communications, visitor coordination, workplace safety, and associate engagement activities.
- Collaborate with APEC HR Services colleagues, Compensation & Benefits, Learning & Development, Legal, Finance, payroll vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure aligned and effective HR support.
- Strong HR generalist expertise across recruitment, payroll, benefits, and employee relations.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
- Ability to manage compliance and operational processes across multiple locations.
- Collaborative leadership and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong analytical capability, with the ability to interpret HR data and translate insights into practical recommendations.
- Sound judgment and discretion when handling confidential, sensitive, or complex associate matters.
- Ability to influence and coach leaders through change, ambiguity, and operational complexity.
Candidate Profile / Experience Requirements
- Degree or equivalent qualification in Human Resources, Business, or a related discipline preferred.
- Demonstrated HR generalist or HR business partnering experience.
- Strong working knowledge of employment legislation, payroll and benefits processes, HR systems, and employee relations practices.
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, problem-solving, and project coordination skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities across multiple locations.
