Do you want to be responsible for the technical performance of one of the newest logistics locations in the Netherlands, where warehouse automation, growth, and new customer implementations come together?

As a Manager Technical Services, you ensure that buildings, technical installations, and automation systems operate at their best. You lead a team of technicians, manage suppliers, and take ownership of maintenance, contract management, and technical support for both existing operations and new customer implementations.

Your main location will be Echt, a modern logistics campus that became operational in 2025. Over the coming years, this site will continue to grow with new customers, systems, and automation solutions. Together with your team, you will also be responsible for technical services at our location in Venlo. This means you will not only be responsible for keeping operations running smoothly but will also play a key role in further developing the technical organization.

YOUR ROLE

While many technical management positions focus on maintaining an existing setup, this role offers the opportunity to help shape and further professionalize a newly established logistics campus. You will support new customer implementations, drive technical improvements, and ensure that technical services continue to grow alongside the ambitions of the business.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Leading a team of eight Technicians and creating a safe, efficient, and professional working environment;
• Managing maintenance strategies, preventive maintenance plans, and continuously improving technical reliability and uptime;
• Managing maintenance contracts, budgets, forecasts, and supplier performance;
• Supporting new customer implementations and ensuring the successful commissioning of technical systems and installations;
• Working closely with Operations, Engineering, suppliers, and other stakeholders to drive technical improvements.

You will report to the National Manager Technical Services & Facilities and work closely with colleagues across Operations, Engineering, and Facility Management. Together with a team of approximately seven Technicians, you are responsible for providing technical support to the sites in the Southern region, consisting of the locations in Echt and Venlo.

YOUR PROFILE

We are looking for a technical leader who enjoys managing people, improving processes, and building a future-proof technical organization within a logistics environment.

In addition, you bring:

• Bachelor’s level working and thinking ability, preferably in a technical field;
• Experience in a technical leadership role within logistics, warehouse automation, or manufacturing environments;
• Experience with maintenance management, supplier management, and contract management;
• Experience with automated systems such as AutoStore, conveyors, shuttles, or similar technologies;
• Strong communication skills in both Dutch and English;
• The ability to effectively collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders.
