Webasto seeks a Manufacturing Engineer HV Battery Systems (f/m/x) for full-time onsite in Schierling to plan, procure, commission, and support production processes for high voltage battery systems, delivering on cost, quality and deadlines per the product development process. You’ll work in a cross functional project core team and produce essential production documentation such as FMEA, process flow diagrams, work instructions plus participate in acquisitions and Kaizen driven shop floor improvements. Ideal candidates hold a mechanical engineering degree with several years in automotive manufacturing, MTM REFA knowledge, strong teamwork, and fluent German with good English. Production & Operations focuses on designing, managing, and improving production processes and business operations, as well as manufacturing technologies and supply chains. The role involves working with modern systems such as SAP and dashboards, some of which are self-programmed. This is a cross-functional and international environment that offers performance-driven, diverse challenges and exciting projects.

You can look forward to these exciting tasks:

  • Planning, procurement, commissioning, and support of manufacturing processes and systems for high-voltage battery systems while adhering to costs, quality, and deadlines according to the product development process (PEP)
  • Interdisciplinary teamwork in a project core team with representatives from project management, development, quality, logistics, manufacturing, and controlling
  • Document creation for production, planning, and project management (process flow diagrams, FMEA, manufacturability assessments, work instructions, process parameter lists, error collection cards, system inspections, maintenance documents, and risk and hazard assessments)
  • Participation in acquisition processes, calculation of manufacturing times and investments for systems and manufacturing processes for high-voltage battery systems
  • Daily shop floor management and conducting improvement workshops in accordance with the Kaizen philosophy

 

This is what you bring to us:

  • Successfully completed university studies, preferably in mechanical engineering, and several years of professional experience in the field of manufacturing engineering in the automotive/supplier industry and the processes of the automotive industry
  • High level of assertiveness and decision-making ability
  • Basic knowledge of MTM or REFA
  • A very high level of teamwork, independence, commitment, and flexibility as well as a goal-oriented, structured, and method-based approach to work
  • Very good German language skills, good English language skills in spoken and written form (communication skills – presentation, moderation)
