Job Requirements

Process Optimization and Continuous Improvement (CIP)

• Within the scope of process optimization and the continuous improvement process (CIP), existing assembly pro-cesses are analyzed
• and continuously improved. Non value adding activities are identified and eliminated. The goal is to ensure an efficient and quality compliant assembly process. Measures to increase productivity and reduce scrap are con-sistently implemented

Assembly Process Design

• The design of assembly processes includes the development and optimization of efficient workflows for ELMEC products. The optimal sequence of individual assembly steps is defined, and suitable machines and tools are sel-ected to ensure smooth production.

Assembly Workstations and Tools

• Concepts for assembly workstations and assembly lines are created using a 3D CAD modeling program. The manufacturing of assembly tools is planned and supervised, taking Poka Yoke principles into account. Close col-laboration with tool design and toolmaking is essential.

Investment Planning

• In the area of investment planning, Capital Expenditure Requests (CERs) are prepared for required investments in machines and tools. This includes calculating amortization as well as analyzing savings potential.

Data Management and Documentation

• Data management includes maintaining technical data in SAP, such as routings, material masters, tool cards, and work instructions. Additionally, tool numbers are created and maintained in TLM and SAP. The management of technical documentation and data inventories is also part of the responsibilities.

Automation and Testing Technology

• In collaboration with the ME Automation team and ME Electronics, automation solutions and end of line test equipment are co designed. SAP data must be analyzed, concepts created, and specifications prepared. This is carried out continuously to identify further process improvements.

Project Work and Quality

• Within sustaining projects, work is carried out according to TE project guidelines. Process FMEAs are created and maintained for these projects to ensure long term efficiency and quality.

What your background should look like

 

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field, ideally Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a comparable qualification, with additional training as a certified technician (m/f/d)
• Master’s degree preferred
• With a university degree: 3 years of relevant practical professional experience; without a degree: > 3 years
• Proven knowledge and technical understanding of the product development process and the production process
• Experience in analyzing, designing, and optimizing processes
• Ability to work/manage effectively in a cross‑functional environment
• Ability to communicate with the program core team, the plant, technical experts (CoE), and equipment suppliers
• Familiarity with program finances (i.e., cost estimation, profit and loss, investments) and quality tools
• Proficient in SAP and skilled in MS Office applications
• Strong sense of responsibility and excellent communication skills
• Independent working style and initiative, even beyond one’s own area of responsibility
• Open‑mindedness and motivation driven by continuous improvement
• Emotional intelligence, ability to influence, and to build cross‑functional networks
• Ability to manage and resolve conflicts
• Willingness to travel: 30% required
• German & English required, both written and spoken
