Skyworks Solutions, Inc. is hiring a Manufacturing Technician to join the onsite team in Richardson, Texas. The company is known for its high‑performance analog semiconductors that help power the wireless networking revolution, and this role sits on a growing RF/DC test floor in a cleanroom environment. Requisition ID: 78855.

This is a full-time, on-site opportunity in a ISO compliant, class 100 semiconductor fabrication cleanroom. The job requires wearing cleanroom attire and protective equipment and standing for extended periods during a 12‑hour shift. The role is not eligible for visa sponsorship by the Company, and Skyworks emphasizes a collaborative culture where hands-on contributions matter. The company will evaluate candidates on relevant experience and skills to determine starting pay and fit.

If you’re drawn to working closely with Manufacturing and Test Engineering to keep production moving and enjoy applying hands-on RF testing knowledge in a team setting, this could be a good match.

On the factory floor: what you’ll do day to day

In this position, you’ll support Manufacturing and Test Engineering on an expanding RF/DC test floor, performing tasks inside a clean, tightly controlled environment. Your daily work will center on testing across a wide range of frequencies, from DC up to mmWave, and you’ll help set up and calibrate test rigs and parameters to ensure reliable measurements. You’ll interact with test engineers to refine setups, report progress to supervisors and internal customers, and assist in training less experienced teammates while coordinating with manufacturing, process and equipment engineering to resolve problems and keep schedules on track.

You’ll also review process quality through control charts and respond to out-of-control conditions, using standard software such as MES, FPS, Spotfire, Camline, FDC and MS Office to document findings and drive improvements. Safety, tool availability, cycle times and cost will be in your sights as you identify opportunities to optimize operations. Overtime may be required to meet responsibilities and production demands.

What you’ll need to bring to the role

Advice for applicants

Lead with your RF testing experience. Put at the top of your resume the two or more years you’ve spent testing RF components, and name the exact equipment you’ve used (PXI systems, spectrum analyzers, VNA, etc.).

Show how you’ve proven the must-have skills. Cite specific instances where you set up and calibrated S-parameters and power test stations, followed Qorvo standards or equivalent, and collaborated with test engineers to improve setups.

Prepare for interviews with concrete examples. Be ready to discuss times you resolved a test setup issue, trained a teammate, or helped drive improvements in safety, cycle time or tool availability, including any measurable outcomes.

Ask a thoughtful question. For example, inquire how the team tracks out-of-control conditions in statistical test charts and what the first 90 days look like for someone stepping into this role.
