As a Marketing Innovation Intern, you will report directly to the Offer Manager in our Marketing department.

 

GETTING TO KNOW THE POSITION 

 

One of the strategic orientations that Nexans pursues consists in capturing growth and differentiating its offer by escalading the value chain from the production of cables towards the provision of innovative cable systems and services and solutions to better address the current and future needs of our partners and customers.

Nexans Canada is establishing a structured Customer Experience Management (CXM) program as part of its Innovation Program. The Marketing Innovation Intern will be responsible for facilitating the execution of this program by recruiting participants, coordinating and conducting customer interviews, organizing research data, and supporting the discovery and validation of customer-driven product and industry insights.

 

The role focuses on ensuring the CXM program operates efficiently and professionally while supporting the delivery of reliable, well-documented customer insights that accurately reflect customer needs, challenges, and opportunities.

 

HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT

 

  • Become familiar with the customer value propositions and design hypotheses being evaluated.
  • Identify, recruit, screen, and vet interview participants.
  • Schedule and coordinate Customer Feedback interviews.
  • Conduct interviews using established research methodologies while remaining objective and avoiding interviewer bias.
  • Identify recurring themes, opportunities, objections, and unmet customer needs.
  • Compile findings into structured summaries that highlight evidence supporting, refining, or challenging the innovation team's hypotheses.
  • Organize research data using Excel and/or modern data management platforms.
  • Attend weekly project meetings with consultants.
  • Track interview progress, action items, and project status.
  • Support the preparation of executive presentations and customer insight reports.

 

 

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE ?

 

  • Currently enrolled in a Marketing, Business, Communications, or related post-secondary program, ideally in the second or third year of study.
  • Strong organizational and project coordination skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other MS office tools
  • Self-motivated, curious, and eager to learn.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Outgoing, approachable, and confident engaging with customers and industry professionals.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent time management abilities.
  • Driver’s license (25% travel in Ontario)
