Job Summary:

The Master Scheduler is responsible for developing and managing the Master Production Schedule (MPS) to ensure efficient production flow, optimal inventory levels, and on-time customer delivery. This role partners closely with production, sales, and supply chain teams at the Phoenix facility to align capacity, demand, and operational execution. This position reports to the Supply Chain Manager.

What you will be doing

  • Serve as the primary liaison between sales, production, logistics, and supply chain teams.
  • Develop and maintain the weekly Master Production Schedule (MPS) for finished goods.
  • Align production schedules with machine capacity, work centers, and labor availability.
  • Analyze production data, including machine rates, capacity, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).
  • Lead cross-functional planning meetings to ensure alignment on demand and supply priorities.
  • Monitor schedule performance and adjust plans to meet customer delivery requirements.
  • Proactively identify risks to on-time delivery and coordinate resolution with internal stakeholders.
  • Communicate delivery risks and updates as needed in partnership with customer-facing teams.
  • Manage, track, and implement engineering changes in SAP as directed by program management.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in planning, scheduling, and inventory management.

What will make you successful?

Required Education/Experience:

  •  High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in a planning or supply chain role.
  • Experience with ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QAD).  

 

Preferred Skills/Qualifications:

  •   APICS certification (CPIM or CSCP).
  •   Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  •   Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  •   Ability to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization.
  •   Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
