Job Description

Job Summary:

  • Organize and direct Operation within a warehouse to effectively manage receipt, storage and distribute to site in Engineering & Construction project.
  • Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials between various departments

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the administration and control of material receipts, issues and storage.
  • Decide the disposition of material overages, shortages, or materials which are received damaged. Advise where insurance claims are applicable.
  • Supervise forecast of future material use at job site and control construction allowances.
  • Coordinate with the respective chief engineer for preparation of requisitions for material to be produced locally.
  • Prepare or check arrangement for the disposal of surplus materials.
  • Ensure the safety regulations are observed by subordinates. Ensure construction equipment and tools are in safe condition.                                                                           
  • Take necessary action to initiate Overage, shortage, damage and reject reports. Monitor filed changes reports for materials which are missing, lost damaged or changed.
  • Participate in material scheduling meetings and recommended adjustments to work schedules, if necessary, to reflect the availability of critical materials.
  • Prepare color coding of locally procured materials.
  • Prepare storage plans for materials.
  • Check inventory.
  • Coordinate with other department such as procurement, field control, field engineering to proceed material problem solving.
  • Check material delivery at site.
  • Control costs through productivity of personnel, efficient usage of storage space, and proper protection of stored materials.
  • Maintain details of receiving and issuing material, reviewing material receiving reports for completeness accuracy, and timeliness.
  • Manage and monitor subcontractors.
  • Identify the cause of material losses and takes corrective action.
  • Operate and utilize FMC system.                                                                                                                

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor`s degree in related major

Experience:

  • Minimum 5 to 10 year experience as supervisor
  • Project based warehousing experience gained within the Oil and Gas industry or petrochemical industry.
