ams OSRAM is seeking a 2nd shift Grade 6 Material Handler for its Hillsboro NH site. This full time, on site role involves leading less experienced teammates, planning shipping and receiving, overseeing storage and documentation, and training others while collaborating daily with engineers and production. You will also handle material staging and pulling for shipments and, as needed, drive deliveries to Norton Warehouse. Pay is $17.50 per hour with a $2.00 per hour shift differential and a $1 per hour raise after a successful six month review, plus comprehensive benefits and growth opportunities. Requirements include passing an Industrial Lift and Drug Test, holding a valid lift license, and 2–3 years of related experience. The ams OSRAM Opto Semiconductors business offers high-performance opto semiconductor components and in-depth support for state-of-the-art system solutions based on innovative semiconductor light sources. The Business Unit can look back on almost fifty years of production and development expertise.

Your new responsibilities

  • With limited supervision, lead less experienced associates, while performing all the same duties as the grade 6 Material Handlers.
  • Plans and oversees the shipping/receiving and handling of materials.
  • Oversee storage of materials, follows instructions and issues, receives materials and supplies. 
  • Responsible for verification of documents and can train less experienced material handlers on an ongoing basis. 
  • Interacts with Engineers, production control and production departments daily. 
  • Drive truck for deliveries from Osram to Norton Warehouse and other facilities if needed. Receipt of incoming deliveries for both truck and container. 
  • In depth knowledge of material staging, placement and pull for shipments.

2nd shift Grade 6 Material Handler 2:45pm-3pm

Pay Rate: $17.50/hour

$2.00 shift differential

$1 / hour raise after 6-month successful review


What we look for


  • Must successfully pass Industrial Lift Physical & Drug Test.
  • Must be tested/maintain a valid lift operation license/certification.
  • Must be well organized, detail oriented, and time oriented.
  • Must show the ability to train others effectively
  • 2-3 year’s related experience preferred.
