Bombardier is seeking a Material Logistics Agent for a full time onsite role at the Marcel-Laurin Plant 1 in Québec. You will coordinate the internal flow of material with expeditors and production teams, support the material planning process and provide contingency plans for missing parts, participate in daily morning meetings to flag shortages, manage internal suppliers, and prepare documentation at different workstations while helping drive improvements with Operations, Engineering, Methods and Quality to ensure on time delivery. The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Logistics or Supply Chain and three to five years’ manufacturing logistics experience, strong teamwork and leadership, can work under pressure and juggle priorities, and is fluent in French and English with solid MS Office skills. What are your contributions to the team?
- Coordinate the internal flow of material with expeditors and production employees, participate in the material planning process and provide a contingency plan for missing parts;
- Participate in daily morning meetings (DMM) and provide visibility to the natural team regarding planned and unplanned shortages;
- Manage and plan the work of internal suppliers;
- Prepare and validate documentation at different workstations;
- Participate in various improvement plans of internal material flow management with different stakeholders such as Operations, Engineering, Methods and Quality;
- Ensure improvement of business processes and solutions within the team to ensure on-time delivery of parts to production positions;
- Actively participate in improvement projects (ex. Achieving Excellence System, 5S, Lean manufacturing, cost reduction, etc.);
- Develop positive relationships with internal stakeholders.
How to thrive in this role?
- You have a Bachelor’s degree in Operation Management, Logistics and/or Supply Chain Management (or equivalent) in a recognized University;
- You have 3 to 5 years of working experience in operations or logistics in a manufacturing environment;
- You have the ability to work with minimum supervision, be a team player, self-motivated, and demonstrate initiative as well as leadership, and good interpersonal skills;
- You are able to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities;
- You have good organizational & planning skills;
- You have excellent communication skills in French and English (written and oral);
- You are proficient with the Microsoft Office suite.
