TE Connectivity is hiring a Materials Planning Support III in Witham on a 12-month fixed term, reporting to the Site Material Planning Manager. The role supports planning, scheduling and monitoring material flow through production, determining quantities and order dates, and raising manufacturing orders and purchase requisitions to meet forecasts and customer orders. You will create manufacturing and material supply plans, own delivery performance and inventory control, and partner with Manufacturing, Logistics and Procurement to underpin S&OP. Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of planning experience, strong ERP and MS Office skills, SAP preferred, and a proven ability to manage lead times, expedite when needed and drive continuous improvement. This position reports to the Site Material Planning Manager. At TE Connectivity, the Materials Planning Team are responsible for planning, scheduling, and monitoring the movement of material through the production cycle. The planning team determine quantity and order date for materials to meet production or engineering schedules, initiate purchase or production requisitions compliant with supply agreements, and develop the schedule to be used in the production facility based on forecasts and historical analysis.
The Planner will be responsible for creating manufacturing and material supply plans which achieve customer satisfaction and cost objectives. He or she will be fully responsible for the delivery performance of its products, as well as the control of the related inventory. Working in conjunction with other members of the Planning team, and closely with other departments such as Manufacturing, logistics and Procurement Teams, this role supports Sales and Operations Planning processes.
The Materials Planning Support role will be on a 12-month fixed term position.
