Join HEINEKEN through DB Breweries in Auckland as a 2nd or 3rd year Mechanical Apprentice on a full‑time fixed‑term 12 month contract, onsite under a mentoring trade expert in a high‑volume production environment. You’ll develop practical skills by safely following procedures, supporting small mechanical issues, assisting with changeovers and improvements, and collecting basic maintenance data. What you’ll bring: working toward NZCE or Advanced Trade Certificate (Mechanical preferred), solid troubleshooting, basic machine knowledge, and a keen appetite to learn and contribute to problem‑solving and maintenance tasks. To strengthen your application, tailor your CV to show progress toward the NZCE, highlight safety, teamwork, and any hands‑on fixes or data you’ve handled, and reflect HEINEKEN values. About the Role

As a 2nd  or 3rd  Year Mechanical Apprentice, you’ll work closely with a qualified mentor who will help you develop your trade skills and gain practical experience in a large‑scale, fast‑paced production environment.

 

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Work safely and follow all procedures
  • Maintain quality standards when working on equipment
  • Support with small mechanical issues and minor stops
  • Assist with changeovers and share improvements
  • Join problem‑solving activities to prevent repeat failures
  • Collect basic maintenance data and support simple reporting

What you’ll bring

  • Working toward NZCE/Advanced Trade Certificate (Mechanical preferred)
  • Good troubleshooting ability
  • Basic machine knowledge and hands‑on mechanical interest
  • Keen to learn and gain more experience in maintenance activities
  • Ability to support simple problem‑solving tasks
  • Basic understanding of maintenance engineering or inventory/supply processes
