JBS Foods in Brisbane is hiring a Mechanical Fitter for a full-time onsite role with fixed day or afternoon shifts, starting at $49.40/hr and rising to about $51/hr with site experience, plus a Monday to Friday pattern with weekend overtime. You will perform preventative maintenance, repairs, startups and shutdowns, diagnose faults and lead root cause analyses with automation and engineering on branded automated lines, working closely with planners to keep daily productivity high. Requirements include a Certificate III in Engineering Mechanical Trade or equivalent, pneumatic knowledge, strong fault finding skills, and prior industrial experience; process and packaging equipment experience is a plus. What You'll Do

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on production equipment
• Complete activities for production start ups and/or shutdown
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults quickly and effectively
• Conduct Root Cause Analysis with automation technicians and engineering
• Work on our automated lines including machinery from: Mondini, Tavil, Bilwinko, Marco, Weber
• Work with our planners and automation technicians to ensure lines are efficient and productive every day

What We're Looking For

• Trade qualification as a Mechanical Fitter (Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade or equivalent)
• Experience with process and packaging equipment advantageous
• Friendly and engaging attitudes to maintenance and production personnel
• Knowledge on pneumatic systems
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Previous industrial/manufacturing experience preferred
