XAI is seeking a Member Of Technical Staff for International Government to design and deploy AI capabilities for civilian agencies worldwide, with travel to the Americas, Asia and the Middle East. You will build integrations between Grok models and government systems, develop secure scalable solutions, contribute to SDKs and docs, partner with stakeholders, and help shape safe, transparent deployments across varied regulatory landscapes. Ideal candidates have 4+ years of hands-on software engineering, strong Python, experience fine-tuning AI for mission-critical/government use, and deployment in sovereign environments, plus a willingness to travel. This newly formed civilian team focuses on engineering and deploying xAI's AI capabilities (models, APIs, tools, and integrations) for international government agencies, regional/local administrations, and public sector workflows worldwide. We're building the bridge to responsible, high-impact AI adoption. Team members can expect opportunities for travel and international assignments, with work primarily in the Americas, Asia, and the Middle East. You'll work closely with product, research, infrastructure, and legal/governance teams to make Grok and future models maximally useful for global civilian missions while upholding safety, transparency, and ethical standards.
