Al Shirawi Group is seeking a proactive MEP Coordinator for a full-time onsite role in Dubai. The role manages HVAC, electrical, plumbing and fire protection with architectural and structural work, ensures effective BIM CAD clash detection, and leads coordination meetings with consultants, contractors and stakeholders. You will review design and shop drawings for accuracy, secure timely approvals, and identify discrepancies to keep installations aligned with drawings and specs while upholding safety standards. Responsibilities also include overseeing testing and commissioning, maintaining records, and delivering as-built drawings and O&M manuals. Roles and responsibilities:

  • Coordinate MEP services (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, etc.) with architectural and structural components.
  • Ensure proper clash detection and resolution using BIM or CAD tools.
  • Organize and attend coordination meetings with consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure that all MEP installations are correctly aligned with project drawings and specifications.
  • Review MEP design drawings and shop drawings for accuracy and compliance.
  • Ensure timely approval of shop drawings and materials submittals.
  • Identify discrepancies in design and propose solutions in coordination with consultants.
  • Monitor site installations and ensure work is carried out as per approved drawings and quality standards.
  • Inspect materials delivered to the site for compliance with specifications.
  • Ensure that proper testing, commissioning, and inspections are conducted.
  • Coordinate with the planning team to align MEP works with the overall project schedule.
  • Track the progress of MEP works and report delays or issues affecting the timeline.
  • Maintain proper records of MEP works, changes, approvals, and correspondence.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, codes, and safety standards.
  • Prepare as-built drawings and operation & maintenance manuals.
  • Oversee the testing and commissioning of MEP systems.
  • Ensure that MEP systems are functional and integrated correctly before handover.
  • Facilitate final inspections and obtain relevant approvals.
