ENGIE is seeking an MEP Supervisor for a full-time onsite role in Abu Dhabi to oversee mechanical maintenance operations and optimize personnel deployment. Job Purpose:
Responsible for the mechanical maintenance operations (repair, maintenance, inspection, improvement) ensuring supervision of subordinate employees and optimization of personnel deployment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Function Management Responsible for supervising day-to-day mechanical maintenance operations.
- Ensure preventive maintenance in the field of mechanics by scheduling and coordinating operations with the open pit, treatment and maintenance foremen.
- Issue work orders to carry out fault clearance.
- Responsible for the development of proposals to improve facilities and increase plant availability. Responsible for material planning and usage.
- Jointly responsible for the correct execution of the maintenance work in accordance with the relevant mechanical regulations (laws, ordinances, standards, etc. ).
- Contribute to the takeover of new or changed facilities and the training of subordinates.
- Check and ensure the availability of the tools, measuring and testing equipment in use.
- Regularly communicate inter departmentally, in written and / or verbal form, on the status of jobs, projected completion time, and need for assistance.
- Act as a technical resource to field personnel and plant maintenance and actively engage in field issues. Responsible for Cargo securing for outgoing transports.
Quality, Safety, Health and Environment
- Responsible for the application and compliance with safety and fire safety measures during maintenance work. Inspect work areas on a continuous basis for possible mechanical problems or unusual conditions.
- Report deficiencies to the Department Managers. Proper handling of environmentally hazardous
- substances. Perform work duties in accordance with Company Quality Systems Manual procedures.
People Management
- Supervise and control subordinate personnel. Joint responsibility for the safety of subordinate employees ensuring compliance with the relevant working conditions and working time regulations.
- Monitor employee job performance such as attendance, quality, and productivity.
- Joint responsibility for education and training of the subordinate employees in organizations operating procedures and standards.
Skills Required:
- Able to understand a broad international standards understanding in order to be able to undertake different maintenance programs jobs.
- Knowledge in valve operations & heavy lift
- Ability to take complex technical decisions and lead teams.
- Strong interpersonal & Communication skills
- Capable to work pressure like breakdown maintenance & shutdown.
- Coordination with inter departments and good relationship with all.
- Man management skill
- Should undergo and certification for basic safety courses such as confined entry & high radiation exposure.
Qualifications:
- Degree in Facility Management or relevant.
- 5-7 years of experience in similar field within GCC.
