Nutrien is seeking a Mine Reliability Specialist in Lanigan, SK, full-time onsite to lead condition monitoring and predictive maintenance underground. Identify drivers of maintenance downtime, analyze vibration and oil data, and propose data driven strategies to boost availability while coordinating research, design and upgrades and complying with Nutrien Safety System and site standards. You’ll contribute to the concept, design and execution of solutions for new and existing mine systems and support safety leadership. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering or a Diploma/Journeyperson in a mechanical trade with at least two years’ experience, G12 education, and mining familiarity; CAD is a plus. What You'll Do:
- Identify bad actors impacting production targets related to maintenance down time
- Gather and analyze condition monitoring data such as vibration and oil samples to support the underground Predictive Maintenance program
- Provide suggested strategies through data analysis, to improve availability
- Involved in research, design, systems coordination, and planning
- Involved in new designs and upgrades to existing systems in the mine
- Responsible for the concept, design, and execution of solutions
- Support the Nutrien Safety System and comply with the engineering site standards and procedures
What You'll Bring:
- Must have either Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology or Journeyperson certificate in a mechanical trade. Reliability activities will be considered an asset
- A minimum 2 years' mechanical experience required.
- Must have g12 education or equivalent.
- Training and experience with CAD would be an asset
- Experience working in a mining environment
- Strong organizational skills with ability to conduct short term and long term work
- Positive safety behaviour and safety leadership
