Advice for applicants
Lead your resume with your relevant experience. Put your 12 months of work in customer service, monitoring or a dispatch environment right at the top, and show how you’ve used those skills in real-world scenarios.
Back up your must-haves with concrete examples. Describe how you’ve used CRM systems and monitoring interfaces, and share a moment when you applied critical thinking to resolve a fast-moving incident.
Get ready to talk about privacy and confidentiality. Have stories ready that demonstrate your careful handling of sensitive information and your professional communication with clients during incidents.
Ask about how the NOC team measures service levels and what opportunities exist to collaborate across teams. A smart question could touch on training plans or how success is evaluated in this role.
