The role
As Network Planning Engineer, you’ll play a critical role in assessing customer connection requests and determining how they interact with Vector’s low voltage electricity network. Working at pace and with precision, you’ll analyse network data to assess feasibility, ensure applications are routed correctly, and help prevent costly downstream redesigns or delays for customers. Your work will directly influence customer timelines, cost outcomes, and the overall efficiency of our connection process.
What makes this role unique is the exposure you’ll gain to detailed, leading-edge LV network data and advanced planning tools, including AI-supported grid technologies. You’ll work closely with network planning engineers, designers, field service providers and data teams, contributing insights that will help shape future automation and process improvements. While the role involves high-volume, repeatable assessments, it offers strong technical development, visibility across the network, and a solid platform for future opportunities within Vector’s evolving data and network planning environment.
