About the Role
As a Network Solution Architect with Babcock, you will play a key role in supporting the ongoing assurance and enhancement of the Defence High Frequency Communications System (DHFCS).
Working within the Recurring Services (Support) Engineering team, you will ensure the delivery of a robust and secure ICT network and server infrastructure that underpins critical Defence communications.
This role spans L1–L3 support services across a multidisciplinary network environment, with a strong focus on network maintenance, server infrastructure management, and performance reporting.
This role also provides the opportunity to engage directly with Defence stakeholders, define system requirements, and influence the ongoing technical evolution of one of Australia’s most critical communications networks.
About You
You are an experienced and proactive ICT professional with a strong background in network and server architecture, particularly within complex or Defence-related environments.
Your hands-on experience designing and troubleshooting IP networks, managing both Windows and Linux systems, and working with Cisco networking products will be key to your success.
You take pride in delivering robust, secure, and scalable technical solutions and have a solid grasp of virtualisation, VoIP technologies, and infrastructure documentation.
You thrive in environments that demand precision, innovation, and continuous improvement, and you understand the importance of compliance with ISM, PSPF, and other Defence security frameworks.
