SAP, a global software company known for connecting people, processes, and technology, is looking for a Network Strategy Director to join its Melbourne team. This is a full-time, onsite role based in Australia, focused on shaping the regional strategy for SAP Business Network and driving growth through strong executive relationships and cross-functional collaboration. The company emphasises inclusive teams, international collaboration, and opportunities for learning and career mobility, making this a good fit for senior professionals who want to influence large-scale procurement and settlement networks.

The Network Strategy Director will work with a regional portfolio to exceed revenue targets and steer market-unit strategy in concert with cross-functional colleagues. You’ll build forecasts, develop account-penetration plans, and craft customer collaboration approaches in partnership with partner management and services teams. Your diagnostics of customer needs will identify program risks and trigger action plans, while you map roadmaps to boost product adoption and maximize subscription value. You’ll align regional goals with market-unit objectives, participate in sales cycles to demonstrate the full value of SAP Business Network, and shape three-year plans that sustain executive relationships across Accounts Payable, Treasury, IT, and Procurement. The role also positions you as a thought leader for connecting buyer and trading-partner communities within the industry, with a revenue-generating bonus tied to network revenue and close daily collaboration with the VP for Strategic Engagements.

In this role you’ll belong to an inclusive, global community of professionals focused on accelerating cloud adoption and delivering durable customer outcomes. SAP highlights the importance of local proximity, collaboration, and domain expertise to build resilient partner ecosystems that drive long-term success for customers and partners alike.

The right candidate for this role will bring a decade of work in a Cloud Business, with at least five years in senior account management, consulting, or relationship management. Deep SAP Business Network knowledge, covering technical, functional, and operational angles, is essential, as is the ability to apply this to solve complex customer problems. The ideal person will have strong executive-relationship skills, a track record of problem-solving and innovative thinking, and solid knowledge of collaborative procurement, Accounts Payable, Treasury and Working Capital. A strong analytical mindset, experience in transforming business processes, and excellent written and verbal English communication are required. An MBA or an undergraduate degree in business, finance, or supply chain management, or an equivalent level of work experience, is also required.

Nice-to-have elements include experience leading forecasting and account plans in a regional or multi-country context, a background in driving subscription revenue, and familiarity with strategic selling and data-driven stakeholder engagement. Additional capabilities such as AI-enabled learning design or the ability to build industry network connections between buyers and traders would help you accelerate impact in this role.

Pay And Practical Details For This Role

The role is full-time and onsite in Melbourne, Australia. It features a Revenue Generating Bonus plan with Network revenue as the principal KPI. SAP states that it does not discriminate in employment on various grounds and provides accessibility accommodations to applicants who need assistance; requests for accommodation can be directed to the Recruiting Operations Team via the contact listed in the company information. A background verification may be required for successful candidates, and there are guidelines in place regarding the responsible use of AI in the recruitment process.
