Tips for your application

Lead with your most relevant experience, make sure your resume highlights any time you’ve worked in concierge, customer service, hostel, or supported housing settings, especially in night or security duties.

Provide a concrete example of a time you stayed calm under pressure while responding to welfare concerns or incidents, and describe what you did to protect residents and de-escalate the situation.

Show you can handle records and handovers by naming systems you’ve used and the kind of incidents or feedback you’ve logged, including how you ensured accuracy.

Be ready to discuss your approach to equality, diversity and inclusion, boundaries with residents, and how you would prepare for the Enhanced DBS check that the post requires.
