Toad Hall Nursery is seeking a Nursery Team Leader for maternity cover up to 12 months, full time, onsite in Berkhamsted. You’ll lead with warmth, confidence and creativity, inspiring your team to deliver excellent care while upholding EYFS, Ofsted and Health and Safety standards. A full level 3 or higher Early Years qualification and proven leadership are essential, as is safeguarding and paediatric first aid. You will manage daily operations, support staff and play a key role in our team environment. Note that an enhanced DBS check will be required. Key Tasks and responsibilities: 

• Ensuring that the EYFS is implemented and followed throughout the team to an exemplary standard. 

• Providing day-to-day leadership and management for the team and staff across the nursery as required. 

• Assisting in the effective use of social media and other marketing activities as required.

Requirements

We’d love to hear from you if can demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and experience: 

• A full and relevant Early Years qualification – Level 3 or above

• An excellent working knowledge of the EYFS and the Ofsted inspection framework

• Experience of people management and dealing with employee issues

• A comprehensive understanding of health and safety regulations

• Working knowledge of employment legislation including equal opportunities legislation

• To be fully trained in safeguarding and paediatric first aid
