Aruma is seeking an on-site Macadamia Dehusking Operations Coordinator at Summerland Farm in Alstonville, a hands-on leadership role to keep a busy facility running safely during peak harvest. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you’ll lead daily dehusking operations, drive safe throughput, manage labour, equipment, quality and compliance, and own performance against budgets. A typical day turns seasonal plans into priorities, coordinates intake, processing, storage and dispatch, and acts as the contact for growers while monitoring productivity and cost drivers. This is a blue-collar, leadership role - not a desk job. You’ll lead people, manage machinery, and keep a high-throughput facility running safely, efficiently, and on plan during peak harvest periods.

The role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Macadamia Dehusking Operations Coordinator:

• Leads day-to-day operations of the dehusking facility.
• Oversees safe, efficient, and reliable throughput.
• Supports Leading Hands and teams with clear direction and timely escalation.
• Manages labour, workflow, equipment, customer requirements, quality, and compliance.
• Owns operational performance aligned to monthly and annual budgets.

A day in the life of the Operations Coordinator…

• Turn seasonal plans into clear daily and weekly priorities.
• Coordinate receival, processing, storage, and dispatch.
• Manage throughput, bottlenecks, and changing harvest or weather conditions.
• Act as the main contact for growers and logistics partners.
• Monitor productivity, downtime, yields, and cost drivers.
• Identify improvement opportunities and support end-of-season maintenance delivery.
• Coach and Build team capability, with a focus on succession and continuity.

About you – skills and experience that will make you stand out…

• Experience leading people in manufacturing, processing, horticulture, logistics, or other relevant operational leadership environments.
• Experience driving outcomes; operational KPIs, productivity measures and cost awareness .
• Strong practical leadership skills in fast-paced, physical environments.
• Sound judgement, clear communication, and confidence holding standards.
• Working knowledge of WHS and compliance in an operational setting.
• Relevant qualification (Cert III/IV, Diploma) or equivalent hands-on experience.
