Foodies is looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead the morning shift at the Landing Drive Distribution Centre in Māngere. This role drives operational excellence, develops a high performing team, and ensures outstanding service to stores and customers. You will coach Team Leaders, ensure effective resourcing and planning, push productivity and cost efficiency within budget, partner with key stakeholders to meet service standards, and champion our Journey to Zero safety goals. Te Tūranga - About the role

We're looking for an experienced Operations Manager to lead our morning shift team at our Landing Drive Distribution Centre (LDDC) in Māngere. This is a key leadership role responsible for delivering operational excellence, building an engaged and high-performing team, and ensuring we continue to provide outstanding service to our stores and customers.

You'll also:

  • Lead, coach and develop Team Leaders and wider operational teams, fostering a strong People First culture.
  • Ensure the shift is effectively resourced and operating efficiently through proactive planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Drive operational performance, productivity and cost efficiency while maintaining budget expectations.
  • Partner with key stakeholders to consistently deliver service standards and business objectives.
  • Champion our Journey to Zero safety goals, ensuring a safe and compliant working environment for all team members.  

Hours: Monday – Friday, 6:00am – 2:30pm

You'll be a collaborative and engaging people leader who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment. You'll bring strong commercial thinking, proven leadership capability, and the ability to influence outcomes across a complex supply chain network.

We're ideally looking for:

  • Leadership experience within a distribution, logistics, warehousing or broader supply chain environment.
  • Experience in an Operations Manager or equivalent leadership role.
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to make sound decisions, manage competing priorities and adapt quickly to changing business needs.
  • A passion for leading people, developing capability and driving continuous improvement.
