Operations Supervisor - First Shift

The company operates as a leading 3PL and industrial developer with six locations in the Chambersburg area, delivering dependable warehousing, transportation and transloading services. Morning rhythm on the first shift
Based in Chambersburg, this full-time, salaried (exempt) position reports to the Director of Operations. The supervisor will oversee daily receiving, shipping, inventory, distribution and material-handling activities, coordinating warehouse personnel and equipment to ensure products are moved accurately and on schedule. You’ll also manage rail unloading and empty railcar release to keep product moving and minimize demurrage and detention costs.
Expect to be on the warehouse floor each day, leading daily shift meetings, setting expectations, delegating tasks, and providing hands-on coaching. Safety is a daily priority, with a focus on reinforcing company policies and keeping training records current. What you’ll need to lead on the warehouse floor
Here are the core requirements to qualify for the role
- A high school diploma is required; a college degree in business, logistics, or a related field is preferred.
- Two to five years of supervisory experience is expected.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Forklift experience is highly preferred.
- Previous experience in logistics or supply chain management, ideally in an e-commerce or 3PL environment.
Additional experience that will help you succeed includes familiarity with warehouse operations, logistics, distribution, transportation or rail operations and familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems; Franklin Logistics uses Camelot WMS.

Compensation, benefits and schedule at a glance
The role is full-time and salaried (exempt) and sits onsite in Chambersburg, PA, reporting to the Director of Operations.
Work schedule includes regular business hours Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–5:00 PM, with First Shift from 6:30 AM–3:30 PM and additional hours as needed, including rotating Saturdays from 6:00 AM–12:00 PM.
