About the opportunity?

Y Victoria is currently seeking a permanent Coordinator based primarily at Yarrawonga P-12 College and supporting Sacred Heart After School program when required. Ideally this Full-time role is perfect for someone seeking 38 hours of work per week, with availability from 6:30 - 9:30 & 2:00 pm to 6:30 pm. This role will also allow ample administration time during the day.

We are open to permanent Full time/Part time based on your availability.

The hourly rate for the position is $35 (ACECQA approved Diploma or equivalent) or $41 p/hour (ACECQA Approved Degree or equivalent) + ECEC retention payment + 12% super.

OSHC Coordinators are responsible for:

  • Overseeing the daily operations and strategic development and growth of the program;
  • Working with the Regional OSHC Coordinator to identify and respond to service improvement opportunities;
  • Creating a positive relationship with the school, families, local community groups and contract partners; 
  • Managing a team of educators who support you in operating a high quality and fun Outside of School Hours Care program

What do you need?

  • You’ll need to have either completed or be working towards a Diploma or tertiary-level qualification as determined by ACECQA (see the link below)
  • You’ll need to have, or be willing to obtain a First Aid in an Education & Care Setting certificate (or equivalent)
  • You’ll need to have, or be willing to obtain a valid Victorian Working with Children’s Check – employee check
  • You’ll need to have, or be willing to obtain a Food Safety Supervisor certificate within the first month of your employment

There are a variety of qualifications that ACECQA has approved to work within OSHC ranging from education to community services to healthcare. All Coordinators must be at a minimum, Diploma-level qualified.
