Standard Chartered is hiring for an outbound role that sits in the WRB Contact Centre, based in Dubai, AE. The Outbound - Virtual Relationship Manager is an individual contributor who aims to deliver an “International Wealth Manager” experience across markets, treating every client interaction as an opportunity to create value. This is a hands-on, on-site position for someone who enjoys blending relationship work with product advisory, digital tools and compliant selling, in a bank that emphasises purpose, inclusion and client-centric outcomes.

The team measures success against five KPIs, high-quality service, value creation, talent development, digital enablement and operational efficiency, and expects colleagues to demonstrate client centricity, innovation and collaboration in every responsibility.

A day in the life of a virtual outbound RM

You’ll engage local and premium clients non-cross-border, proactively reaching out to deepen relationships, promote wealth and product solutions, and drive revenue growth, all while keeping conduct and regulatory standards top of mind. Your routine includes handling product sign-ups, sharing updates, and guiding clients through personalised financial planning, with automation and digital services monitored to ensure smooth experiences. When questions require specialist input, you’ll quickly direct clients to the right experts, maintaining momentum and service quality.

Turning service interactions into sales opportunities is part of the role: you’ll convert inbound activity into outbound engagement, presenting solutions that align with each client’s financial needs. You’ll look for cross-sell and upsell opportunities within an affluent portfolio, building rapport through needs-based conversations rather than product-first pitches, and you’ll navigate any regulatory restrictions by directing clients to licensed channels where required. You’ll use CRM tools, data and AI-enabled insights to prioritise outreach and improve hit rates, continuously learning to deploy new digital and agentic tools with confidence.

Must-have credentials

Here’s what you’ll need to step in successfully:

  • Experience leading outbound brand or telesales activity in banking, with exposure to general banking, retail operations, lending products and audit controls
  • A proven record of servicing clients and managing relationships within a regulated environment
  • Experience working in a role that is deadline-driven and measured by KPIs
  • Business-level English, plus any language requirements specific to the market

Nice-to-haves to push your impact

Beyond the basics, these would help you stand out:

  • Digital literacy with familiarity in AI-enabled selling and CRM tools
  • Strong knowledge of product features and the processes that support them
  • A solid grasp of risk, compliance and conduct standards within banking
  • Understanding of standard banking workflows and procedures
  • Clear, persuasive communication and ability to identify client opportunities
  • Experience crafting sales proposals and presentations
  • Awareness of the financial services landscape and industry trends
  • Personal accountability, plus resilience and adaptability to change
  • Ability to build trusting relationships and maintain professional customer engagement

Pay, benefits and practical details

The bank offers a competitive salary and benefits package aligned with its Fair Pay Charter, designed to support mental, physical, financial and social wellbeing. You’ll enjoy core bank funding for retirement savings, medical and life insurance, with flexible and voluntary benefits available in some locations. Time off includes annual leave, parental/maternity leave of 20 weeks, a sabbatical of up to 12 months and volunteering leave of 3 days, with a combined minimum of 30 days for annual and public holidays. Flexible working options exist, based around both home and office locations, and wellbeing support is provided through Unmind, along with access to learning and development opportunities. The organisation emphasises an inclusive, values-driven culture that celebrates diversity and collective growth.

Smart moves for your SC application

Lead with your outbound banking sales experience at the top of your resume, highlighting any work with wealth products, retail lending or audits so the hiring team sees immediate relevance.

Back up your candidacy with concrete examples of how you’ve serviced clients in regulated settings and met deadlines or KPIs, including any numbers that demonstrate growth, cross-sell results or revenue impact, and mention how you’ve used CRM or data to inform your outreach.

In interviews, come prepared with stories about guiding clients through product sign-ups, explaining wealth and advisory concepts clearly, and escalating to specialists without compromising service quality.

When you’re asked about the role, pose a smart question about how the team uses AI-assisted tools and real-time data to shape outbound conversations, and how they balance regulatory requirements with proactive relationship-building across markets.
