The Role:

An exciting opportunity exists for a dynamic Grade 2 Neuro Physiotherapist to join our physiotherapy inpatient rehabilitation team at Cabrini Brighton in a part-time role (2 days per week).

The senior physiotherapist will work within our multidisciplinary inpatient rehab team, which delivers rehabilitation for up to 52 patients and will have clinical expertise in the field of neurological physiotherapy. Other key patient cohorts you will work with include orthopaedics and reconditioning patients. You will be responsible for delivering clinical care to our rehabilitation patients, as well as providing supervision and clinical oversight for grade 1 physiotherapists, students and allied health assistants. You will also get the opportunity to be involved in quality improvement projects.

This is a 0.4 FTE part-time, fixed-term clinical role, with Monday and Tuesday rostered shifts at Cabrini Brighton. Occasional weekend or public holiday work may be required. There may be opportunities to work additional shifts if of interest.

The role will work closely with the Physio Rehabilitation Team Leader to ensure high quality and consistent practice across our service. We will provide access to professional development and supervision from senior staff, allowing you to further extend your own clinical, education and leadership skills.

Key responsibilities:

  • Contribute to rehabilitation caseload management, through delivery of high quality and evidence-based physiotherapy input.

  • Support junior physiotherapists, AHAs and students.

  • Contribute to quality work, service development and staff performance.

  • Work with the multi-disciplinary team and other key stakeholders to ensure a high quality, patient-centred rehabilitation service.

About you:

We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Grade 2 Neurological Physiotherapist who is passionate about leading high quality patient-centred care in a sub-acute setting, in line with our Cabrini mission and values. 


You will have:

  • A physiotherapy degree, as well as current registration with AHPRA.

  • Well consolidated post-graduate experience in neurological physiotherapy.

  • Strong team approach and good communication skills within a multi-disciplinary team

  • An ability to liaise effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Experience delivering evidence-based neurological and rehabilitation physiotherapy in a hospital setting (desirable)
