He angitūtanga: The opportunity

 

One fulltime Planning Information Advisor role available in the Planning Information Advisor Team. Main office location is Central Auckland, with flexible working options available i.e. to work some days from the local hubs - either Albany, Henderson, or Manukau City Centre. Most training support likely from the Central Auckland Office (with some remote working options available).

 

Work collaboratively and use your local government (and if applicable, private sector planning) experience to make a difference: 

 

  • Share your up-to-date planning knowledge and technical expertise to provide guidance to council’s customers on regulatory matters ensuring the delivery of desired environmental outcomes and contributing to Auckland Council’s reputation. 
  • Help improve the consistency and efficiency of the Regional Planning Helpdesk Team, with collaboration between the Resource Consents Department, Building Consents Department, Compliance teams, and other stakeholders.
  • Experience our fantastic training and support system.

 

 

He kōrero mōu: About you

 

You will bring your planning experience and a tertiary qualification in urban planning, resource management or in a similar field preferably acknowledged by NZPI. With a strong working knowledge of the Auckland Unitary Plan, the Resource Management Act 1991, and an awareness of the proposed and pending legislative changes, you will also have excellent communication and people skills. Restricted or full, clean New Zealand driver’s licence required.
