At FMI Building Innovation, our powder coating line plays a critical role in producing high-quality aluminium products for the construction industry.

We're looking for a practical, mechanically minded person who enjoys solving problems, maintaining equipment and ensuring our powder coating process continues to perform reliably and efficiently.

Working alongside our Production, Quality and Maintenance teams, you'll be responsible for preventative maintenance, chemical monitoring and process support to help keep production running safely and efficiently.

What you'll be doing

You'll play a critical role in ensuring our powder coating line operates safely, efficiently and consistently by:

· Performing preventative maintenance on powder coating equipment and associated plant.

· Monitoring and maintaining chemical dosing systems.

· Carrying out routine chemical testing and record results.

· Completing daily process checks and testing.

· Assisting with troubleshooting equipment faults and process issues.

· Maintaining the pre-treatment tunnel and associated equipment.

· Monitoring trade waste discharge and support Watercare compliance requirements.

· Keeping maintenance records up to date.

· Working closely with Production, Quality and Maintenance teams to minimise downtime.

· Identifying opportunities to improve equipment reliability and process efficiency.

About you

You'll ideally have experience in a manufacturing, engineering or industrial processing environment and enjoy practical, hands-on work.

Ideally you'll have:

· Experience in powder coating, surface treatment or industrial manufacturing

· Strong mechanical aptitude and fault-finding skills

· Experience maintaining automated manufacturing equipment

· Knowledge of chemical management or water treatment systems (desirable)

· An understanding of quality systems and testing procedures

· Good computer skills for recording maintenance and reporting

· The ability to follow and improve Standard Operating Procedures

· Excellent communication skills and a collaborative approach
