Pricing craft in the Solutions Hub

Within the Solutions Hub, you’ll collaborate with pursuit, solution, delivery, finance and commercial colleagues to craft competitive, financially solid solutions for professional services and managed services opportunities.

Your day-to-day involves turning solution scope, delivery assumptions, resource plans, and commercial requirements into detailed pricing models and recommendations. You’ll weigh alternative pricing and delivery scenarios, assess margins, cash flow, and contract risks, and clearly share insights with pursuit leaders and senior stakeholders. You’ll also help refine pricing tools, templates, processes, and the knowledge base to bring consistency and best practices to proposals across the business.

What you’ll need to bring to the table

Here’s what Deloitte is looking for, distilled from the role description.

  • A bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or a closely related field
  • At least three years of experience in pricing, commercial finance, financial analysis, deal support, or engagement economics within professional services, consulting, technology services, or managed services
  • Hands-on track developing financial models for proposals and contracts that cover revenue, cost, margins, cash flow, utilization, and scenario or sensitivity analysis
  • Solid understanding of professional and managed services economics, including delivery mixes, transition costs, productivity assumptions, service levels, inflation, and multi-year contract structures
  • Experience evaluating different commercial models, from time and materials to milestone-based and outcome-based pricing
  • Capacity to translate solution assumptions, scope, staffing plans, and delivery risks into pricing recommendations and solid deal structures
  • Advanced Excel skills with complex formulas, scenario modelling, and quality checks; Power BI, macros, or similar tools are a plus
  • Strong analytical judgement and meticulous attention to detail, with the ability to identify pricing risks and challenge assumptions with incomplete information
  • Clear written and verbal communication, capable of summarizing complex financial information for pursuit leaders, delivery teams, finance, and senior stakeholders
  • A collaborative, client-service mindset, with the ability to juggle priorities, meet proposal deadlines, and own pricing analyses from initial assumptions through approval

Nice-to-haves that would help you stand out include bilingual English and French and professional designations such as CPA, CFA, or MBA.

Tips to help you shine in this application

Showcase a track record of pricing-related work by highlighting at least three years in pricing, commercial finance, or deal support within professional services or related tech-enabled environments. Include a concrete example of a financial model you built that covered revenue, costs, margins, cash flow, utilization, and scenario analysis to demonstrate your hands-on capability.

Demonstrate you can turn complex inputs into practical pricing advice by detailing how you’ve translated solution scope, staffing plans, and delivery risks into recommendations and robust deal structures. If you can quantify outcomes or illustrate a successful proposal, include that in your narrative.

Get ready for interviews by revisiting pricing scenarios you’ve supported and be prepared to walk through your Excel modelling approach, including any Power BI work, macros, or other analytical tools you’ve used to support decision-making.

When you’re in the interview, ask about how the Solutions Hub standardizes pricing tools and templates, how pricing knowledge is maintained across the business, and how the team handles multi-location or hybrid delivery considerations in pricing decisions.
