Bloomberg is hiring a Product Analyst for the Fixed Income Index team in London onsite within the Enterprise Data Product Group. You will generate ideas and turn them into index products, collaborating with clients and Sales team to nurture relationships and advance Fixed Income offering. The ideal candidate has 3-7 years in the index industry, deep Fixed Income knowledge, and hands-on product experience from ideation through launch, including back testing and producing client materials. Strong communication, cross-functional collaboration, and client empathy are essential, as is the ability to write methodologies and white papers and influence product vision. A finance or STEM degree and familiarity with Python or R are pluses.

What’s the Role?
You'll be joining a highly motivated and successful Fixed Income Index team that sits within our Enterprise Data Product Group. Our Fixed Income Product Management analysts work on the team responsible for idea generation across our Fixed Income Index business. You will be responsible for developing these ideas and working directly with clients and across internal functions to turn them into new index products. You will be expected to regularly interact with clients and work closely with our Sales team in nurturing client relationships and continually advocating new ideas to Bloomberg’s clients. You will also be expected to contribute to the evolution and enhancement of the Bloomberg Fixed Income Index offering.
You’ll adapt your communication style according to your audience and be equally adept at collaborating closely with colleagues across multiple teams as well as presenting to clients and soliciting feedback. You’ll be running simulations of potential new index products and creating internal and client-facing materials to support product launches. You’ll also have great interpersonal skills as they are essential to effectively collaborate with other internal teams and engage with clients. You’ll be someone with the ability to approach challenges with creativity and enthusiasm; someone who has the courage to take positions advocating change and then deliver.
Regarding domain expertise, you’ll have a deep knowledge of the institutional asset management industry, understand index trends, regulation and understand what our customers need. You will most probably have acquired this knowledge whilst working on product management for new investment vehicles in past roles with, asset managers, consultants or index providers.
You’ll be expected to influence product vision and then execute on that vision. This may include product design, explore strategic partnerships and always deliver effective internal and external information.
