Product Lead - Neurology
BayerBayer is looking to fill a senior Product Lead - Neurology role in Canada, based in Mississauga. It’s a permanent, full-time position that Bayer emphasizes will be supported by a flexible hybrid approach even though the role is onsite. The company values ownership, growth, and a global perspective, and is keen to hear from leaders who can drive a major launch in the Canadian market and collaborate across diverse teams. If you’ve steered launches in Canada, especially in neurology or related fields, this could be a strong fit.
Reporting directly to the President & CEO of Bayer Inc., the Product Lead will head a high-priority, cross-functional squad and carry strategic, launch, and financial accountability for the product in Canada. The role centers on crafting the Canadian launch strategy, ensuring readiness across market access, field operations, supply, and organizational capacity, and turning customer and market insights into clear strategic choices that support sustainable growth.
In practice, you’ll shape and execute a comprehensive Canadian launch plan from pre-launch through early post-launch optimization, translating the global brand into a Canadian value proposition and engaging plan for customers. You’ll build an integrated, multi-year roadmap, anticipate regulatory, policy, market, and competitive developments, and adjust plans as needed. You’ll lead a cross-functional squad spanning Marketing, Medical, Market Access, Regulatory, Customer Engagement, Patient Support, Operations, Analytics, and other enabling functions, set the strategic direction, remove roadblocks, and nurture an inclusive, high-performing team. You’ll align Canadian priorities with global and regional stakeholders while representing local market and launch requirements.
You’ll act as a senior ambassador for stroke and thrombosis in Canada, building trusted relationships with external experts and healthcare system stakeholders, and turning market research and analytics into actionable priorities. You’ll partner with Customer Engagement to ensure field teams have the strategy, content, and insights needed for effective hospital and community execution, and you’ll represent Bayer at congresses and advisory forums. On the financial side, you’ll share accountability for business performance with the appropriate leaders, develop robust business cases, secure the resources needed for launch, and manage the brand budget with disciplined investments. You’ll pursue agile, digital, and compliant execution, using iterative planning to test and adapt, champion omnichannel engagement, and apply AI and analytics responsibly to improve planning and customer experience while staying within Canadian regulatory, legal, privacy, pharmacovigilance, PAAB, and Innovative Medicines Canada requirements. All activities are conducted with safety and sustainability in mind.
Steering the neurology launch in Canada
The day-to-day mix revolves around three threads. First, you’ll own the end-to-end launch journey for the Canadian market, from pre-launch readiness through launch execution and early optimization, with a clear, prioritized roadmap and defined performance indicators. Second, you’ll lead a cross-functional team and create the conditions for rapid, insight-led decision making, cutting through barriers and enabling timely action. Third, you’ll partner with external experts and internal partners to ensure the strategy is grounded in clinical and market realities, while ensuring financial discipline and resource alignment across the organization. The work also includes representing Bayer in external settings and ensuring Canadian needs are reflected in global and regional plans.
In this leadership capacity, you’ll manage the budget with rigor, build strong business cases, and allocate resources where evidence points to impact. You’ll work within an agile framework to test ideas, learn quickly, and adapt priorities as market dynamics shift. You’ll keep a digital-first mindset, promoting modular content, omnichannel engagement, and responsible use of generative AI and analytics to sharpen insights and planning. Compliance with Canadian regulatory, legal, privacy, pharmacovigilance, PAAB, and Innovative Medicines Canada requirements is essential, as is maintaining safety and environmental responsibility in every activity.
