The opportunity

As part of a Global Product Management team, you will be accountable for the long-term profitable growth and marketing of the SFC offering to target market segments, by developing and managing the portfolio through its life cycle phases, according to market needs, the business strategy and targets. The Hitachi Energy portfolio for medium voltage SFCs includes advanced solutions designed to efficiently convert electrical frequencies and voltages for a wide range of industrial and railway applications. These SFCs are engineered to ensure high reliability, flexibility, and seamless integration with existing grid infrastructure. The portfolio features modular converter platforms, advanced control systems, digital monitoring capabilities, and robust safety mechanisms, supporting sustainable operations and enabling the transition to greener energy systems.  
 

How you'll make an impact

  • Manage the entire product life cycle for the portfolio, including hardware and software

  • Lead market intelligence analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive positioning

  • Define and maintain the portfolio roadmap, including new developments, enhancements, and phase-outs

  • Prioritize and oversee product development in collaboration with cross-functional teams

  • Define value propositions per segment and channel to support effective marketing strategies and product launches

  • Continuously improve product management processes and tools such as configurators, training, and lifecycle management

  • Drive cross-functional innovation initiatives and provide input to R&D for patents and intellectual property protection
     

Your background

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or similar

  • Postgraduate qualification in Marketing, Strategy, or Business (e.g., MBA) preferred

  • 5–10 years of experience in product marketing, product management, or product technology in a technology-based organization

  • Proven ability to influence and work with cross-functional and cross-cultural teams across geographies and time zones

  • Solid knowledge of industrial hardware and software development

  • Familiarity with medium voltage market, customers, competition, and standards preferred

  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Collaborative, solutions-oriented approach with excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • High level of fluency in English

*Ideal locations are Madrid or Milan. Other countries within Europe could be considered.
