In this role, you'll:
Production Engineers – Expression of Interest for temporary opportunities up to 24 months in the Newcastle Region, working on Sydney’ largest train upgrade project.
An exciting opportunity exists to join a talent pool supporting an established rail project in the Newcastle region. We are seeking qualified and motivated candidates to ensure that solutions are fit for purpose and comply with projects requirements, and that the safety and integrity of the Sydney Trains system is not compromised.
This is an excellent opportunity to refine your skills, while gaining valuable exposure to the priorities, operations and standards of Sydney Trains, which could be invaluable for your career trajectory within the rail industry.
In this role, you'll:
• Facilitate technical support, including but not limited to developing/updating technical reference documentation (e.g. Work Instructions for the front-line production team) to enable the timely delivery the project.
• Manage and answer, resolve or escalate all technical queries from TFLE production and testing & commissioning teams such that project deliverables and timelines are met, and outcomes comply with design and regulatory requirements.
• Lead advisory support to the formulation of design concepts, including design solutions to issues arising during design development, redesign, production and testing & commissioning activities.
• Report directly to the Lead Engineering Manager and Senior Production Engineers, collaborating with a team of relevant stakeholders.

About you
You have an electrical, mechanical, mechatronic engineering, or equivalent discipline, or equivalent professional qualification from a recognised tertiary institution as well as being an accomplished problem solver, strong communicator and lateral thinker.
You demonstrate experience in constantly competing priorities and managing these priorities to enable completion of projects while delivering day to day tasks in the required timeframes.
You have proven ability in engaging with a range of internal and external stakeholders whose agendas / priorities might not always be aligned.
You have proven ability to organise and prioritise tasks, be flexible and resourceful with a high degree of initiative.
You can work independently and collaboratively to solve problems and complete tasks effectively.
