At Worley in Auckland, we’re expanding our team and looking for an experienced Project Engineer with an Electrical Engineering background to join us.

What you’ll do

The role responsibilities include:

• Identify potential technical risks and effectively develops risk mitigation, contingency and resolution plans. 
• Set clear objectives for the project team including scope, schedule, productivity and budget targets.
• Requires on-site presence to ensure construction is being performed to plan and design.
• Make independent decisions based on established guidelines, taking into account the cost and schedule impact to the project.
• Daily administration of project and/or Worley policies and processes in order for the projects team to meet business objectives.
• Work with self-initiated interaction with supervisor and self-initiated technical guidance.
• Apply knowledge of all aspects of project engineering to oversee successful technical coordination.
• Maintains HSE focus within the team to ensure HSE requirements are included in design and procurement.

What you’ll have

• A University degree or equivalent in engineering or equivalent experience with professional registration in local jurisdiction.
• Previous electrical engineering experience, ideally on renewable energy projects.
• End to end project delivery experience including on-site construction management of projects.
• Competent in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams and PowerPoint.
• Can organise information from many sources and retain as per the prescribed format and policies.
• Understanding of project budgets, project resource plans and earned value tracking.
• Understanding of project schedules and resource plan requirements for technical aspects of the project.
• The ability to clearly and professionally communicate with project stakeholders and project teams.
• A positive and respectful attitude that fosters collaboration and teamwork to ensure the successful outcome of projects.
