Join our Technics & Technology team in Zurich. The team has a unique competence in Engineering Simulation and Data Analytics. The team develops methods and tools for application to real engineering problems, covering a variety of sectors, ranging from energy and processes to water and infrastructures, though environment. This competence unit is seeking to hire a new person, with a dual profile: CFD and Data Analytics.

PROJECT ENGINEER FOR DATA ANALYTICS AND SIMULATION (F/M/D) 80-100% - ZURICH

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop and execute simulation studies to assess the feasibility and performance of engineering systems and processes
  • Analyze, process, and interpret data from sensors, monitoring systems, and industrial IoT platforms
  • Apply machine learning algorithms to both real-world sensor data and synthetic simulation data
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to translate technical challenges into data-driven solutions
  • Support the development of digital engineering, analytics, and simulation workflows

YOUR PROFILE:

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering (preferably mechanical engineering) or applied mathematics
  • Additional advanced training in data science
  • Hands-on experience with industrial CFD software such as Star-CCM+, ANSYS Fluent, or OpenFOAM as well as with advanced data analytics platforms is a strong advantage
  • Capability to code in Python and knowledge of Azure cloud systems or interest to develop
  • Proficient in English with basic German language skills
