In this role you’ll act as the commercial hunter in the project market, actively engaging with contractors, developers, architects and other key players to spot opportunities early and position SAPA as a leading system and solution partner.

You will map the decision-makers, ensure SAPA is specified and included in project specifications and tender documents, and guide opportunities from initial contact through tender to order.

You will build and maintain sustainable relationships with customers and decision-makers at multiple levels, while developing a strong network within the Dutch construction industry and visiting stakeholders such as contractors, developers, architects and consultants. You’ll work closely with Account Managers and the technical teams to push projects forward, and you’ll monitor market developments and project trends to translate them into commercial opportunities. You will take ownership of commercial results and proactively take corrective action where needed.

  • Experience working with Account Managers and technical teams to progress projects.
  • Track record of translating market developments into concrete commercial opportunities.

Advice For Applicants For The SAPA Netherlands Project Manager Role

Lead with your degree and your three-plus years of relevant commercial experience in the Dutch construction field, and make your network explicit. Start your resume with a concise summary that mentions your degree, years in similar roles, and the key players you already know, contractors, developers, architects or consultants.

Show how you prove the must-have skills by sharing concrete results from prior roles: the number of projects you advanced, the size of your commercial pipeline, and examples where you moved opportunities from contact to tender or order. If you’ve worked in project sales or solution sales, include a short note on your win rate or notable wins and the impact on revenue.

Be ready to talk through how you identify early-stage opportunities, map decision-makers, and position a partner like SAPA throughout specifications and decisions. Demonstrate how you collaborate with Account Managers and technical teams to drive momentum, and share a plan for visiting stakeholders across the Netherlands to build your network.

Finish with a thoughtful question about the role’s priorities: what are the top priorities for SAPA in the Dutch market in the coming year, and how does this role interact with sales and technical colleagues to win key projects?
