Discord is seeking a Public Policy Analyst to support government relations across Australia and the Asia Pacific region in a remote role. We are looking to hire an exceptional Public Policy Analyst to support Discord’s work with governments and other policymakers in Australia and across the Asia Pacific region. As a Public Policy Analyst, you’ll have the opportunity to work with Discord to ensure the Policy team’s operations run smoothly. You’ll report to the Head of Asia Pacific Public Policy and collaborate with Discord’s public policy, legal and trust and safety teams. 

What you'll be doing

  • Research, analysis and writing to inform public policy work across the region as required
  • Support information flows across the team and to cross functional colleagues
  • Respond to or escalate requests from internal stakeholders
  • Facilitate processes and approvals for external engagements
  • Partner cross-functionally with the Legal, Policy, Trust & Safety, and Communications teams

What you should have

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Curiosity and ability to jump into less familiar areas and learn while doing
  • Excellent organizational skills, time management, and attention to detail
  • Ability to navigate complex workflows across multiple tracking tools
  • Commitment to diversity, inclusion, and belonging
