Meraki Group, a Dubai-based builder with a growing portfolio of infrastructure and construction projects, is looking for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to own the commercial side of façade and building work. The role is full-time and onsite in Dubai, AE, and is a chance to apply precise cost control and solid commercial documentation to complex façade projects. The team is seeking someone who can bring balance between accurate measurements, detailed cost estimates, and clear communication with project partners. The right candidate will come from a quantity surveying background, with studies in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field, and a few years of hands-on experience. Experience in façade, aluminium or glass work or broader building construction is highly valued. This role targets someone who thrives when numbers are precise, and when collaboration with Estimation, Procurement, Engineering, Project and Finance teams helps keep projects on budget and on schedule.

Counting the cost on facade projects

On a typical day, you will convert drawings and specifications into detailed quantity take-offs and material measurements, review architectural and shop drawings along with project specifications, and build the BOQ and cost estimates. You will keep a close eye on project budgets and commercial commitments, handle variation orders and claims, and assess subcontractor and supplier quotations to inform commercial decisions. Interim payment applications, valuations and final accounts will also fall under your remit, as will coordinating with Estimation, Procurement, Engineering, Project and Finance teams, tracking material quantities and wastage, verifying site measurements, and maintaining robust commercial records and supporting documents. You’ll contribute to tender preparation and commercial negotiations and always look for cost-saving opportunities that still meet project needs. Regular cost reports and updates to management will round out the cycle.

What you’ll bring to the role

The must-haves

  • A degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a related field
  • Three to five years of relevant experience, preferably in façade, aluminium, glass or building construction
  • Solid knowledge of BOQ, quantity take-off, rate analysis, variations and claims
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Excel; knowledge of QS or estimation software is a plus
  • Good understanding of construction contracts and commercial procedures
  • Strong analytical, negotiation and communication skills

Nice-to-haves

  • UAE or GCC experience is preferred

Compensation, schedule and on-site life

The role is full-time and on-site in Dubai, AE, with duties anchored in a fast-moving contracting environment. Meraki Group describes the position as part of a growing professional team delivering high-impact infrastructure across the UAE, offering a chance to streamline procurement and drive project efficiency on facade projects. Details like salary are not disclosed in the information available, but the role emphasizes a strong collaboration across Estimation, Procurement, Engineering, Project and Finance teams in a busy setting.

Guidance for applicants

Lead your resume with your relevant facade-focused experience, highlighting how you’ve handled quantity take-offs, BOQs, cost estimates, variations and claims on similar projects.

Demonstrate your technical toolkit by naming your AutoCAD and MS Excel proficiency clearly, and if you have experience with QS or estimation software, call that out with concrete examples.

Be ready to walk through real projects where you verified site measurements, tracked quantities, and identified cost-saving opportunities while meeting project requirements.

Ask a thoughtful question about how the team currently controls costs for facade projects and how the QS interacts with Procurement and Finance on a day-to-day basis, such as asking about existing cost-control processes and cross-functional workflows.
