Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our site team on a large residential development, in Abu Dhabi. In this role, you will be responsible for managing all financial aspects of the project during the post-contract phase, ensuring cost-effectiveness and contractual compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage post-contract commercial activities across the project.
  • Review and assess contractor interim payment applications and prepare recommendations for certification.
  • Evaluate variations, change orders, and claims in line with contract terms.
  • Monitor project budgets and prepare monthly cost reports for the client or management.
  • Assist in the preparation and negotiation of final accounts.
  • Ensure compliance with contract conditions, company policies, and local regulations.
  • Liaise with project managers, design consultants, and contractors on commercial and contractual matters.
  • Provide cost advice on potential design or construction changes during project delivery.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit and contractual purposes.
  • Support procurement activities, including sub-contractor agreements and supplier evaluations (as required).
  • Identify and mitigate commercial and contractual risks throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field
  • Professional membership in a recognized quantity surveying institution would be advantageous 
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in post-contract quantity surveying
